I began my martial arts training at
a very young age at a studio close
to my home where we were living at
the time. At such a young age, I
didn’t really care or understand the
martial arts. It was just something
that my entire family did, so I
participated with them. It wasn’t
until we moved to Frederick when I
was 6 years old and my parents
brought me to Kreimer’s Karate that
I began to understand what I was
doing and restarted my training.
When I was 12 years old I decided
to stick with training. I am now
attending college and a 2nd Degree
Black Belt and instructor.
Grandmaster Ralph Kreimer is my
instructor. I teach many classes
that range in ages from 6 to 60. I
love to teach private lessons
because of the one on one
instruction it gives me with the
student. I also specialize in all of
the weapons that are taught at
Kreimer’s Karate.
Martial arts have played one of
the biggest roles in my life next to
my parents and the rest of my
family. Together, they have taught
me discipline, respect and how to
push myself to the best of my
abilities. Not to mention the great
training in self-defense to a point
that I feel comfortable with my
skill upon entering any training
facility thus far.
Although Korean karate is the
only martial arts I have seriously
pursued it is not the only one that
interests me. My martial arts
training has helped me in numerous
situations, none of which involved
any fighting, but merely given me
the confidence to deal with
situations in a calm and disciplined
manner.
Along with instructing, I am also
on the tournament team at Kreimer’s
Karate and take pride in competing.
Some of my accomplishments are 25
First place trophies and 6 Grand
Champion Awards.
