What started out as a part time
hobby became a way of life for me;
from my very first karate lesson I
was hooked and have been ever since.
I began studying martial arts in the
Frederick area in 1992. With several
years of experience in private
security, law enforcement, tactical
training, and martial arts teaching
I have an appreciation for all areas
of the arts. I am a true eclectic.
My training includes arts from
Korea, Japan, Okinawa, China, Brazil
and the Philippines. I have been
privileged and am very thankful to
have studied under some of the top
teachers in the industry and hope
that as I continue to study and grow
as a martial artist I will continue
to honor them all.
My love of teaching leads me to
further pursue the profession of the
martial arts and deepen my
development as an instructor. I
constantly research and take classes
on how to not only teach and train
the skills of martial arts but to
also motivate my students and to
promote the great benefits that I
believe everyone can achieve from
them. In June of 2000 I was one of
the first to become certified by the
American Council on Martial Arts and
The Cooper Institute of Aerobic
Research as an instructor in the
methods, psychology, physiology and
safety of teaching martial arts and
fitness programs. I still get
excited sharing what I’ve learned
with others. I am always looking
forward to new personal challenges
and setting new goals. I have
enjoyed helping to develop and teach
defensive tactic programs for police
departments; security teams for both
public figures and private
corporations as well as government
agency’s and I continue to consult
whenever I’m called to do so. As the
lead instructor in the Kreimer’s
Combined Martial Arts Program and
Karate Fitness Coordinator I feel
that I can bring a blend of my
background and experiences to the
Kreimer’s Karate program making it
not only the most challenging in the
area but also even more fun and
exciting. Just the way we like it.
I am enjoying learning from everyone
here at Kreimer’s Karate and am
thankful to Grand Master Kreimer,
the Kreimer family and everyone who
has welcomed me into the studio with
such excitement, respect and
friendship. I am constantly working
on bettering my teaching methods,
presentation and overall martial
arts skills; a challenge that I’m
certain is never ending but a fun
challenge nonetheless. The martial
arts bring something to class for
everyone regardless of age, ability,
size, or strength. The benefits are
many ranging from stress relief,
camaraderie with others, physical
fitness, competition, to a sense of
accomplishment when even a small
goal is met, a broader worldview,
protection of your family and
yourself and a system of good
character building. The martial arts
always challenge us to be the best
we can be and to set small goals to
reach larger goals. |
